More about

Anderson Design Group

Established in 1993, Anderson Design Group started out producing CD and toy packaging, book covers, posters, and logos. In 2003, founder Joel Anderson began leading his artists to create work in the classic poster art styles from the early 20th century. Their first poster series was the Spirit of Nashville collection—a group of prints that celebrated the history and charm of their hometown. Over time, they morphed into an illustration and design studio with a poster gallery and printshop on the ground floor.

In 2010, after producing over 150 different Nashville designs, Joel started a new series of posters called The Art & Soul of America—a travel poster collection full of my favorite American destinations. It began as a small collection of prints depicting cities like Seattle, New Orleans, New York, and Chicago. The series was an instant success, and Anderson Design Group soon received requests from all over the USA for new art depicting other places that were special to people—places where memories were made and souls were stirred.

As of 2022, ADG has produced over 3,000 different poster designs. Their art has been exhibited on every continent on the globe (except Antarctica). Their prints have been featured on movie and network TV sets, presented to diplomats, hung in embassies and galleries, published in design journals, and displayed on walls by travel poster lovers everywhere. What started in Nashville as a way to celebrate Music City and promote our little family-owned business has grown to become one of the largest bodies of decorative poster art ever assembled by one team of artists. Anderson Design Group is still small, but their collection continues to grow.
