In the idyllic paradise of Lindau Island—a location that could hardly be more fitting for an art gallery—Stefanie Steinmayer has been creating her distinctive embossed prints on handmade paper for over 30 years.

Each work is carefully crafted by hand: individually painted, varnished, embellished with her characteristic brushwork, and often refined with fine gold leaf. This makes each sheet unique, full of expression and poetry.

Her gallery on the island of Lindau in Lake Constance has been a lively place of encounter and inspiration for many years. Here, works are created that tell stories with a love of detail – of longing and hope, connection and joie de vivre, of family, nature and life by the lake, of the sun, moon and stars – and of a world full of confidence.
