A 100-piece puzzle is the perfect way to introduce your child to a puzzle independently. Perhaps the motivation is not so great at the beginning, but the joy will be found quickly, because the sense of achievement sets in quickly. In the puzzle, 100 puzzle pieces are distributed over the base area of a 200-piece puzzle. This means that the individual puzzle pieces are larger, which can be an advantage for small and large hands at the beginning. The sections of your motif are clearly visible, so it's best not to choose the difficulty level too high and take a picture with lots of details.

Age recommendation: from approx. 8 years old

Modiano

Modiano, the Italian playing cards company since 1868

Modiano was founded in Trieste in 1868 by Saul D. Modiano (1840-1922) and began by selling cigarette papers.

Very soon the company went on to produce its own goods and soon controlled a hefty slice of the market to the Middle and Far East.

But it was when the company broke into the playing cards sector and into the advertising world that its businness really took off.

It grew and expanded opening other factories in Fiume (now Rijeka in Croatia) in Budapest in Hungary and in Romans d’Isonzo (Italy).

All these activities were linked by the common theme of drawing, pictures and graphic art for advertising and decoration in order to create the perfect combination between art and business.

Giuseppe Sigon, Pollione Sigon, Glauco Cambon, Argio Orell, Ugo Flumiani, Carlo Wostry, Marcello Claris but also Endre Farkas, Mihály Biró, Federico Seneca, Ugo Carà, Róbert Béreny are the main painters that developed the Modiano’s style.

The company stayed in the Modiano family until the 1980s, when it was acquired by Grafad, a paper industry already present on the market.

Actually the production is focused on playing cards, tarots and paper products

Moving between advanced technology and loyalty to tradition, Modiano works daily to continue offering children, adults and professional players a tool for sharing and meeting, a pretext to allow time together in the off-line world.
