The "Drei Hasen Spiele-Verlag" is a small family business from the Franconian town of Uehlfeld and it cooperates with dealers, distributors, publishers and authors from all over the world. However, production takes place in Germany - all games are made in Germany.
Our game publishing company develops and publishes "games for family and friends". We attach great importance to innovative ideas, fun, a high play value as well as environmentally conscious production with short distances, above-average product quality and ecological materials! Johann Rüttinger (owner/graphic designer) came to games at an early age and experienced the "German games miracle" first hand. In 1994, together with Kathi Kappler (owner/publisher), he founded DREI MAGIER SPIELE. In this publishing house they worked closely together with Alexander Randolph (game author) and Rolf Vogt (illustrator) and celebrated great successes, e.g. with "Rüsselbande", "Geistertreppe", "Nacht der Magier" and "Kakerlaken-Poker".
DREI MAGIER SPIELE was sold to Schmidt Spiele, Berlin, in 2008 for health reasons. In the same year, together with Rolf Vogt, the two realized their idea of turning the then sub-label DREI HASEN IN DER ABENDSONNE into a children's book publishing house.
But as early as 2012, Rüttinger/Kappler decided to make games again and presented their new works in this publishing house already in October 2012 at SPIEL in Essen.
Daughter Lena Kappler (graphics/editing/distribution) and son Paul Kappler (graphics/photo/distribution) also work in the family business, which is based in an old water mill, both in their learned profession of media designer and in other departments - wherever they are needed.
All together, the "Three Rabbits" want to bring beautiful and good games to the market, which are so valuable for the development of children and which are so much fun in the family and with friends!
